FAQ

Before you book your eye surgery in Korea

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The consultation is free, and the full checkup is provided free even if you decide not to have surgery.

Do international patients pay more than Korean patients?

No. Overseas and domestic patients are charged the same fees.

Will someone speak my language?

Yes. Professional interpreters work on site in English, Japanese and Chinese. Tell us your language when you message us.

How long before an eye exam do I need to take out my contact lenses?

Soft lenses 5 days before, hard and toric lenses 10 days before, and ortho-k lenses at least 4 weeks before. This keeps the measurements accurate.

How long does discomfort last after LASIK or LASEK?

Irritation, tearing and a grainy feeling are normal. After LASIK they may last about half a day; after LASEK, up to 3–4 days.

Who can have LASIK?

Adults aged 18 or older whose prescription has stayed stable for the past year, and who are cleared by a doctor after a comprehensive exam. If your cornea is thin, LASEK may fit better.

Can I drive after a retina exam with dilating drops?

Near work such as driving, reading or using a computer may be hard for about 3–4 hours after the drops. Plan your ride in advance.

How do I book, and can I come the same day?

Same-day reservations are not available. An online request is confirmed only after our team replies to you, and LASIK exams and surgeries are by appointment only. On Saturdays we perform exams and surgeries only, with no follow-up visits.

I am pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I be examined?

Hormonal changes can make exam results less accurate. Please schedule your exam after childbirth, or after breastfeeding has ended.
